An amount of half million unlocked iPhones handsets already sold in the Russian market. Vimpelcom on Monday announced that they are going to sell the iPhones without any subsidy as the Russian laws consider those locked phones are illegal.  Mr. Alexander Izosimov CEO of Vimpelcom confirmed that they will prepare better iPhones later.

Research shows that when the iPhone is bought the use of data services increase by four to five times. A specific release date was also not mentioned, with the company mentioning an official unveiling “later this year”.
