Normally a shared folder will not be available unless you turn on your system. But sometimes it should be accessed by our users and we have to reveal the password. Sometimes it troubles us a lot.
To fix this issue Windows Vista is having a solution to avail the shared folders offline with a spectacular feature called Caching. When you decide your folders to be available offline you can choose the option of the contents how they should be available to the users who are offline.

Some important notes about sharing folders offline :
•Unless users specify the particular files and programs to be available you can’t access them offline.
•All files and programs that users open from the share will be automatically available offline.
•You can’t access the all shared files and folders offline.
