WordPress version 2.9 called Carmen is available immediately for you. In order to honor the magical jazz vocalist Carmen McRae this version is named Carmen. As usual, you can easily upgrade from your Dashboard by going to Tools > Upgrade or you can download from the official site.
It has come out with a plenty of features for the user convenience:
•    The first features is Global Undo/”Trash’ feature. As the name suggests, you can easily know the function. However, if you accidentally delete a post or comment, you can bring them back from the trash, just like available in emails. Moreover, you can have another chance to avoid “Are you sure” messages on every delete.
• Second one is, Built-in image editor that lets you crop, edit, rotate, flip and scale your images without any effort. WordPress says this is the first wave of their many planned media handling improvements.

•    Third one is, Batch Plugin Update and Compatibility checking. Using this feature, you can update 10 plugins simultaneously instead of clicking on each one. Moreover, WordPress uses the new compatibility data from the plugins directory in order to bring a better idea of whether your plugins are compatible with new releases of WordPress.
•    Fourth one is, Easier Video Embeds, that lets you paste a URL on its own line to get the proper embed code with Oembed support for YouTube, Daily Motion, Blip.tv, Flickr, Hulu, Viddler, Qik, Revision3, Scribd, Google Video, Photobucket, PollDaddy, and WordPress.tv.
