Last month, Bing has announced that it would be one of the Search Engine choices within Safari. Therefore, today Bing has introduced its first extension for Safari. It is Bing highlights. The Bing Highlights is able to bring you the intelligent, contextually sensitive information to the web pages you’re reading.
Using the feature is so easy. All you have to do is, just highlight the text on the Web Page. Then, Bing Highlights will be able to recognize interesting information (or “entities” in information science-speak) and offer you some smart choices.
If you highlight a US format address, you can easily interact with the map in the Pane and get driving directions. Moreover, you will be able to hear the text spoken by clicking on the icons.

You can also get up-to-date flight status information by highlighting a flight number. At the same time, if you want to search results from Bing for any selected text, you can do it. This extension brings the power of Bing one-step closer to your fingertips.
You can download the Bing Highlights extension form the link provided at the end of this article. This is compatible with Safari 5.0.1 or newer for both Mac and PC.
